Hi, I’m Marina Radu
Born, raised and currently live on the island of Montréal. My passion for the art of jewellery goes back to when I was a child and accompanied my grandmother to have her antique jewellery repaired and maintained. Loved how it looked and felt, I was hooked.
Got a late start to my professional life due to being a member of the Canadian women’s national water polo team since 2003, and studying Anthropology at Concordia University in the meantime. I consider having two separate sides of myself; Olympian, world championship medalist and sports lover, and the jewellery designer as my softer more creative self.
Each piece is creatively designed to be graceful, wearable, yet add that unique accent to the every day and capture the effortlessly beautiful nature of my inspirations. Those inspirations are the experiences, thoughts and memories of those trips to the jeweller with my grandmother, with specifically the ring pictured on the home page. It is the main reason for my love of jewellery, and hope to create my own modern and elegant versions from it.
Each piece is meticulously made by hand in Montréal from the finest materials. I have set out to design delicate pieces that can be worn and enjoyed every day with a chic and feminine feel. Focusing on the use of 14k gold with diamonds and precious stones, the Marina Radu line is a distinctive combination of architectural, geometric and classic forms, creating a beautiful balance between functional and timeless design. While each piece stands alone, they are enhanced when mixed, matched, layered and stacked.
Enjoy!
